A recent issue of Parents magazine reveals their top 15 recommended vehicles that hold qualities of safety, value, performance and family friendly features. Three of Parents recommendations included the Mazda CX-9, Mazda 5 and Mazda 6 models. The all new CX-9 is a mid-size SUV crossover, offering 7 seats including third row seating. The SUV offers an abundance of standard features including three zone climate control, steering wheel mounted radio controls and some very functional options like a back-up camera and power lift gate.
Among the other models on Parents magazine’s list is the Mazda 5. This “micro van” as the magazine calls it, is a practical 6 seater van with a lot of cool family oriented features. The 5 has fold down trays for children’s snacks and comfortable arm rests. The 5 is also affordable, even the luxury model with navigation and heated leather seats is priced at $23,000.
One mother in Silver Spring, MD raves about the Mazda 5 stating, “The split fold-down third-row seats give me lots of cargo options, the lift gate is easy for a petite mom like me to close, and the high seating lets my toddler see out the window.”
The Mazda 6 was also on the recommendation list, getting 30 mpg on the highway the mid-size sedan is loaded with cool features. The keyless entry system lets you open your windows from your front door and a blind-spot alert system warns the driver of unseen cars in the next lane.
